When I was working for my uncle in Mesquite I met a guy who would fill his 5th wheel trailer with body parts, take those body parts up north sell them to the parts yards, then fill his trailer with transmission and motors, and drag those back to Dallas. He'd repeat that every time, and made a killing doing. Point of that, his truck was a 1985 Ford diesel that he had rebuilt over and over. That truck had almost no amenities, but it did the job for hundreds of thousands of miles.
