    e bay

    I see people buy copper scrap But are paying well over market price .
    are they uninformed & dumb or are they smart people figuring CU @ 10.00 some day ??

    P.S. these are also the same people who think what they have is GOLD! you know, the CL folks or the local classified ad folks who list say....a microwave that is in great condition, everything works, except for the turntable....for $40. correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the turntable part of the microwave? (I swear I've seen that one) Or those who list 20" crt's for $30 and 27" for $35. Here in IN. it is technically illecgal to throw away a CRT and starting in FEB, the goodwill will be charging to take them, and yet they aren't giving it up because they spent x in 2000 for it.

    As the old saying goes don't let the cat out of the bag. Why am I selling my CU to the yards at cost ? People like us are the miners, we get dirty expose our selves to god knows what & low and behold we have the CU ,I think we are under paid for it . I see people out there want it but I figure don't want to get there hands dirty to get it . The product we have is worth the darn spot price for #1 & .10 less a LB for #2

    As another saying goes, your product is only worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Getting the product is sometimes the easy part and then depending how much you want for it, the real work begins. If you need the money right away, or storage is an issue, you can be at a disadvantage and will need to sell to the first half way decent offer that comes a long. If time, money and space is on your side, then you are in the drivers seat and can get creative on how you are going to maximize your profit.

    I agree, but I think the buyers of these types of deals are the "pie in the sky" type dreamers.
