Ok, thanks for the advice tackleberry. Over analyzing has been one of my mental misfortunes in life. I always try to figure out the how & why people & things work the way they do.

A friend of mine sells to all of the local convenience stores in town. In my town we have a guy just like your guy there. He'll only buy from my guy dan, and has tried to marry off his sister a couple of times. Show up when asked, get the work done, count your money! Remember, this guy is a businessman first. But he's no different from you and I. He'll loosen up eventually, when he realizes he only has to point, and you'll go....He's just used to us Americans with our "half day" work mentality...

Once he see's you two have a lot in common from a "work ethic" standpoint, you'll become best friends. The toughest ones (Regardless of nationality or religion) always soften up the most once they see you work hard, in my experience.

Also India is full of different religions and they tend to mix together different traditions. So you will most likely not figure this out. Do as Tackleberry says and you will do fine. Also congrats on a great find. Mike.

Be courteous, ethical and professional and it will translate into any language/culture. Does he know you are going on vacation and are not going to be available at the drop of a hat?

Thank you KZBELL. Yes, He took my information and taped it to the office wall. I made it known to him that I was leaving town for vacation. He asked me to call him when I return.

How do you think this guy found out about you? Through an ad or word of mouth.

Sounds like to me that this guy has dealt with others that were no shows and lazy! That is why he said come right away or he will call someone else.

You seem to have impressed him already or he would not have asked you to call when you return!

Have a good time on Va ca because I think you have lots of work coming up in the near future!

Internet. I always ask how they heard about me. Most of them just googled and said my number comes up first. I post 18 different ads on CL. However, seldom does anyone call me from CL . I also run a slew of ads on Backpage. I only seem to get 3 or 4 responses a month from Backpage. I normally get 4 removal request a day, and of those 4, three googled search and 1 CL.

Thanks Goldfinger. When I have the time i do strip them. I would like to see the video because I use a utility knife & bolt cutters to strip mine also. The last batch I sold to another scrapper for 1.00 lbs., they were dirty with ends and some had quite a bit of metal. Wont do that again though. I thought I had to have hvac lisc. to sell to scrap yard, but learned I can sell all window type a/c units in Texas without Lisc.
