want revenge? Post the phone number here we can all send them some texts. I can also probable find out who owns the phone. I know some parents myself included would beat my child to near death if I ever caught them doing something like this. Give us the number

Haha I do appreciate the offer parttime and it is tempting but I'm done with it. Going to put my energy towards things that hopefully turn out to be more constructive.

You're right too, if I had a kid and found out they did crap like this I would be pretty livid.

Text them back and say...Glad I finally found you and thanks for all the great parts. I took it right down to my buyer and got $483.45 for it. Can we meet so I can give you your cut?

I had a person respond to an ad once (can't remember if it was cl or freecycle) asking me for my name, address, and phone number. I didn't know what to think of it, so i never responded. Usually people ask for a number (if i don't post it), but they also tell me what they have, or a brief idea of what they have for me to pick up. I usually don't take drop offs, just becasue i don't need people snoopin through my stuff.

I had a similar problem once, had a guy stiff me on some copper wiring. I drove 50 miles one way for what he called a truck load of free wire. Got there and there was about 10lbs of wire and he wanted me to pay for it. He refused to let it go so I left, when I got home I took his number and make multiple ad's on Craigslist listing "to good to be true" deals. Also put his number and an add in the Guys looking for Guys section. I know it wasn't the right thing to do, but **** it felt good.

I had something simular happen, was leary of how excited the seller was, took a coworker with me to the location. Everything worked out great, wound up with 6 complete towers for $30.
Found out the guy got them from his work and was going to scrap them himself but saw my ad on CL and figured that he would make more selling them whole to me than scrapping them himself.
I told him about this site but also told him to call if he got anymore.

Tackleberry, that is a shame that someone would lead you on like that, wish you better luck next time.
