Just got a couple of pictures from a phone texted to me. They are very blurry...... it looks potentially good.

Going to offer to pick it all up tomorrow afternoon. Not going to happen in the dark.

Be careful! If nothing else take or barrow a big mean dog to go with you. Dogs since if people are bad, and trust me lots of people don't want to mess with a dog. They can out run you! Take the dog to the door and inside also.

I don't know. My brother got divorced, and he still complains about his ex wife.
I know lying is wrong, but if the elephant man came in now in a blouse with some make up on, and said, "How do I look?" Would you say, bearing in mind he's depressed and has respiratory problems, would you say, "Go and take that blusher off you mis-shapened elephant tranny?" No. You'd say, "You look nice... John""

Well I will be going tomorrow at noon.

One major new development is that he is apparently a she lol. When I asked her if she was really ok with giving it all away she responded yes but if I wanted to bring her a hot chocolate from tim hortons (biggest canadian coffee chain) she would appreciate it, so I will be doing that.

I'm pretty curious at this point. The pictures looked promising but again were so blurry I couldn't make it out. Not sure if she is a kid or maybe english just isn't her first language.

As I was typing this post she sent me another text saying I can come earlier if I want, she wants it gone as soon as possible.

I appreciate the concern dee but I will be going alone, will be telling a good friend (who has to work unfortunately) of where I am heading and will have him call me while I am there to check in.

And of course I'll update this thread, assuming I make it back alive lol

Guns, yes, just not nearly as prevalent as in the states.

I reckon it all belongs to her computer-crazed ex boyfriend who she dumped and kicked out of the house for loving Lara Croft more than her.

haha, maybe you're on to something wayne.

Will probably be going a little earlier now, she said anytime 10-12, the earlier the better so she can be free for the whole afternoon.

Someone posted about scoring stuff from relationships gone bad last week and this is in the free section today...

These were gifts and the friendship is broken and I don't want the memories. NEW. These are quality items for the serious searcher/collector. "American Indians of the Pikes Peak Region" which cost $22. "The Utes Must Go, American Expansion and removal of a people" by Peter Decker. $20 new. Also includes a set of 9 postcards, bronzed images of Warriors and Chiefs from the Battle of Little Bighorn which retailed at $6. and 14 loose similar HEAVY postcards of a variety of Indian Chiefs, etc, mostly Dakota Sioux and Cheyenne, which are from real photographs also. Too nice to actually mail to anyone. So total new value at over $50. I live near Huron and Thornton Pkwy.

I remember that post as well KZBell.

All will be revealed tomorrow morning. I'm still going to be rather cautious, better safe than sorry.

Well that was a bust lol

I didn't get robbed but am pretty confident it was just some kids being stupid and having some fun by jerking someone around. At least it wasn't to far so cost me very little in time and gas.

It went down like this.... I show up at agreed upon time, the house number given to me is 67, I see 65 then next to it 69...strange. A few texts back and forth lead to some silly instructions and directions. Sent a text back saying I was leaving and goodbye. The person sent one more saying she was outside where was I, no one was outside on the entire street.

Ive had a few run ins with kids posting ads on cl just to mess with people. promises of free scrap leads to vulger texts or bad addresses. Just part of it i guess. Really pisses me off though.

lol I thought about it but decided the quieter I left the better. The whole point for them was probably to piss some one off real good, why give them the satisfaction? I can be pretty intense and my friends tease me about it sometimes (how I got the nickname tackleberry lol) but in cases like this I think the better policy is just to have a laugh, learn from it and move forward.

missouri - Yup if you're going to be dealing with the general public you're going to have face a lot of BS at times
