I have learned so much here. But mostly I've come to feel that there is a brotherhood and sisterhood of people out there who are like me. Who see the value in things that others just consider junk. Not everyone gets that. People who understand the difficulties of the lifestyle and the attacks upon it.
Today, I couldn't get some pieces of wrought iron seperated and I didn't have a sawsall or anything like it. The screw was rusted, then painted, then rusted again, I think. It just wasn't reponding to my screwdriver. Together the panels were too big to fit it the SUV. I was about to give up and then I thought about some of the people on the forum and their endless refrain of "hit it with a hammer" so I clutched the unyielding screw with my pry bar and repeatedly whacked at it until it gave. I didn't have to call anyone to come and help me! It was an incredible feeling !
I've learned so much here and I really feel like we are a community, although we frequently disagree. I love that.
Thank you whoever came up with the idea for this blessed place.
