TP, I just noticed that you haven't posted in the intro section....please go there, read the sticky...you'll see it...and then tell us a little more about yourself. People will be more apt to help you if they know a little more about you. You still haven't said that you got permission to take the things from your neighbors yard. We do not advocate stealing in any fashion here.

Please dont take this the wrong way, but why do you assume new members are guilty of theft straight away?

I would find that very off putting if I was a new member.

I for one will never justify where I get my scrap, regardless of who may ask, as I know that I do the right thing.

Come on Torker Man. No one said he was guilty of theft. She simply made a comment and gave some good advice. "We do not advocate stealing in any fashion here." What's wrong with that?
