A good example would be AC window units. Compared to the older models, they are pretty much mostly plastic inside now. the older ones would be all steel framed and real heavy. now everything is so cheap. The coils are super thin, the blower motors are small they arnt stripping out the copper, the fan blades are plastic, not aluminum. the wiring is super thin, and even the copper tubing is so thin. i took the shell off a newer model and the shell hit the copper lines when i took it off and blew out the refrigerant and oil all over.

Even with refrigerators. they last what? 10yrs now.... the older ones will run forever. i got one in my basement that was my great grandma's from the 60's and runs like a champ. All these new fridges are crap, especially any Samsung and LG appliances are complete trash. scrap fridges weigh like nothing now a days. almost 1 hand them in the truck so i wont even bother with them. and that flammable refrigerant they use now is crap too, all those burn out the gas and are empty when you scrap them. And even the outer steel on fridges are super thin. i hit one with a hatchet and went right threw, i hit an older one and it didnt even go threw the steel.

I can keep going on this topic but ill shut up now.
