hey guys, did the turn and burn for jan toady, had a hard time deciding if i wanted to hoard or not but figured id do the run before the bottom drops out on everything..

So i spent $145 buying some scrap.

    x5 Ally rims $20
    x5 Ally Rims $25
    Auction - 1 ton electric motors $100

and picked up a heap of free stuff from the tip, 3 solar hot water systems (copper) air cons, and some brass.

Sold x5 ally rims $100 (not at the yard, some guy saw them and picked them up out the back of the ute)
and one run before today netted $75 for the air cons.

    todays run..

    H/G 900kg @ $200/t $180
    Burn cu (from motors) 44kg @ $4.8kg $211.2
    No 2 pvc wire 7kg @ $1.6 $11.2
    Brass 12kg @ $3.6 $43.2
    Cast ally 24kg @ .75c $18
    Copper pipe 30.5kg @ $5.3 $161.65
    Electric Mo 134kg @ .45c $60.3
    Batt 32.5kg @ .38c $12.35
    All rims 65kg @ $1.1 $71.5

Sorry for the long post, will figure out how to post pics for the next one. Being a good customer i managed to negotiate a slight better rate so my prices are 10 - 20c higher than book price... Pretty happy for jan, got roadside (curb co) coming up in march, might hoard a bit then depending where prices go, if i find enough to hoard. Hope this year turns out good for everyone and happy scrapping guys.
