Amazing that the tires aren't flat. Maybe the air pressure was photoshopped!

I'm still picking up computers and phone systems so I have no complaints on prices. Finding more computer parts that can be sold to SMF buyers and I'm finding companies that refurbish business phones and systems. Thank you Google.
After a few recent pickups, I am replacing my computer with a newer one and now have dual 25" monitors.
My wife has a bigger monitor for her computer and is getting a newer printer because her old one died.

I was self employed as a master carpenter for a good many years but it came to a point where there just wasn't any joy in it anymore. In one way or another, it was all about the money. Taxes and operating expenses. DIY's that think they know everything and nickel & dime you to death. Having to compromise the quality of the work to meet a certain price point.Working on old buildings that should have been torn down instead of being rebuilt. New, lower quality, factory built homes being trucked in from Canada that will have to be torn down by the time the mortgage is paid off. I just said the hell with it and retired from the trade.

Nowadays i pump gas for a paycheck. There's more honor in that. I've found that it works pretty well if you try to treat everyone with dignity & respect. They will generally return the favor in kind. You do get a few A-holes here and there but it's really more about them than it is about me. Sometimes they're just having a bad day. Sometimes they're just miserable and unhappy people that are having a crappy life. There's no need for me to make their problems my problems. I try not to take the things they say and do personally.

    It's just business.

A website with info on many dozen different gigs is...

SideHusl - Find the Best Money Making Option for You

I've done Amazon Flex deliveries and Uber Eats deliveries, but need to give a BIG WORD OF CAUTION about both of them. I got into an accident in late January while driving for Amazon. No person got hurt- just the two vehicles. Amazon paid the claim for both me and the other party that I hit. So I figured everything was ok. Then in July I get a letter from my personal insurance carrier, GEICO. They said they were canceling my auto policy, effective immediately as the insured vehicle was being used for deliveries. What the hell? Amazon's insurance company (Zurich National) paid the entire claim- GEICO didn't pay a penny. And still GEICO wanted to cancel my policy. That sure sucks. I tried calling GEICO back and asking about a commercial policy, but they said they don't quote those.

I started calling around to a bunch of other insurance companies. The rates were basically $2,000-$4,000/year. That is ridiculous for someone who is already covered by commercial policies from Amazon and Uber. Also, the pay on both jobs (after you deduct car expenses) is less than minimum wage. And neither job has benefits. How in the world am I supposed to be able to afford to pay that much for car insurance?

I called a couple Domino's pizza places to ask who they used. One of the guys told me he used GEICO. I thought to myself that if he tells them what he does for a living, they will cancel his policy immediately. If he doesn't tell them and gets into an accident, chances are that his claim will be denied by GEICO. So what is someone supposed to do?

Keep in mind that more and more insurance companies are expecting you to attach tracking devices to your car. If they said they could see that you made 30 stops at houses in the same zip code over a period of a few hours, it would be pretty hard to say you were not doing deliveries.

I have complained to the Dept. of Insurance in my state and am awaiting a response from them. This is a bigger problem than many people realize.
