    First trip to the yard

My new used D 100 surprised me
Aside from non ferrous base metals I had a 1000 pounds of ferrous
even my first dodge 1500 One thousand pounds took it close to the bump stops , if needed the stops handled it and more
but this truck was no effort - - first earnings = $134.00
I'm here to make it official the slant 6 does deliver 23 MPG even with some idle time .
My experience with a 318 idle time counted big time with fuel consumption
They don't make em like they used too, I guess for some thats a good thing but for
me what I have is officially the best scrap truck I ever had . Just like there is one love of your life
this is the one truck of my life I am complete .
I did an oil change today
    10W40 wall-mart oil $11
    wall-mart filter $2.97
The truck then had that smooth feeling some motors get from fresh oil
    Ahhh Thanks !!

Sounds great. My half ton dodge fits about 1050 in computer shred with the sides on, filled all the way up. 6.5 foot box too.

Thats a lot of shred considering the weight of an empty case .
    Plenty of disassembling .

Traded my son for his 2005 Ram 1500 automatic but liked the 2500 diesel I had except for the 6 spd. manual tranny.

It handled this 2.58 ton load today reasonably well. I thought I was maybe done hauling iron when the price went to the bottom but now it's back somewhat and I have more to haul................plus I like doing it
