    Just on the outside of the garage, etc.

    Not really, Dee, cause they're plastic barrels. And to be big enough to put stuff in; they'd be big enough to reach in and take out (think brake rotors).

    People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

    Well, if you throw a lid on them, bolt the lid on, and cut out a slot large enough for their largest scrap it would at least deter these idiots. I have seen those on a several shops around here. I have seen people snag entire drums though....

    Maybe rig up some kind of top that only allowed things to be put in but not taken out? Kind of like the opening of a vending machine
