Opportunity to purchase 300 to 400 Hard Drives

We have at least one buyer who pays more than scrap for some hard drives. So really check the buyers threads and also check what the drives are. I would expect them to be outdated and for scrap only but that could be a wrong assumption on my part. 73, Mike

The value on anything ever, is what someone else is willing to pay. Only you can determine if its worth taking these things apartor selling them whole. there are plenty of threads discussing breakdowns and time so do a little research and formulate your own conclusion. Good luck.

You can figure out if it's worth your time to tear them down. I got a load of server hard drives that had some pretty substantial boards on them. For comparison I weighed 5 of them whole. Then I removed the boards and weighed the 5 boards and the 5 drives separate. Then based on a buyers pricing I calculated the difference ( I wish I had the figures handy) and I could see, that for me , in this case it was worth it to remove the boards. I could have gone further but I believe for me at this time it's not worth the time and effort to tear them down more. Keep in mind these boards were beefier than your normal SATA or IDE boards so your milage may vary.
Like CTscrapman says do alittle research to formulate your own conclusion only you know what your time is worth.

first find out if the green board is still attached...thats where the money is....i have been taking 50 lbs apart and its a lot of work...a lot of screws...if you have a lot of time and dont have to pay much then maybe...get your torx bits ready
