    the super g5

    I get in maybe 50-70 G5's a year so I am used to the honking heatsinks but the college whoever really wanted to go all in with this one first time I come across in a g5 sure other systems and personal towers but dang that's super cooling power with this cooling unit, dint take a pic of the bottom with the 2 processors but its also had all its regular fans and upgraded memory and video card. weighed in at almost 58lbs with case

    Nicely built machines, but very unreliable until the final PCIE models.

    BTW the PCIE models had a special adapter for the wireless board (Apple 630-7054, 820-1830-A) that's worth a bunch because it was optional.

    PS: The water cooled units tended to leak and kill the system.

    lol indeed that is what made this into scrap, I still would take a million but the boards are a painful reminder of how much work this business can take so many screws and holders and so forth to lock it in tight

    I had a G-5 come in last year.

    Can honestly say it's the only breakdown that i ever did with a sawzall.

    g5 cpu

    i had a few g5's...made more on the heavy aluminum cases than anything else...nice copper heat sink...underwhelming green fiber with metal cpu considering all the time spent
