well if you think that is the proper way to recycle those....I don't personally. I actually pull the items from just about everything that is practical. Otherwise what is the point if they are just going to shred and send the leftovers to the dump? My opinion of course.
With
electronics recycling outfits that are doing it right, the stuff doesn't get landfilled. There's a big shredder at SRS (Sims Recycling Solutions) here in Roseville. It's used because it's not cost effective to break everything down by hand. Everything from printers, keyboards, some hard drives that are more difficult to dismantle, and more are sent through it. Everything's separated out in the end for proper recycling.
