Well then maybe YOU ought to not start out on a forum as a newbie telling people off which is what you did. You are what? 18 or 19 years old? Kinda hard to tell from your stilted posts which, by the way, contain quite a few grammatical mistakes.

As I said earlier, YOU took the first shot. Post on this forum with respect or don't post at all.

Yeah I'm 18. So what? I am not the best at grammar but I am better then some. Why are you picking at my grammar that's my question? Its a thread. How are they silted? I have been typing like this for all of my life and I don't know why you have to pick on my writing when you don't type much different than me.. If you are gonna pick you my grammar maybe you should look at the other threads and not just mine..you going on another persons comment on my other thread? Btw your comments are silted.. Because you know what last time I saw you only have an issue with my problem it was a misunderstanding and no one is butt-hurt but you... OH PLUS the way I'm typing is how they teach kids how to type in school... SO got a problem with it GO to the secretary of the Education board of UNITED STATES and put in your complaint..

    First off, ''stilted'', not ''silted.''

Second, you are a new poster, and you are not respectful in the least. If you can't handle criticism or questions regarding your thread topics don't bother posting. Assuming you perused the forum before joining you should be well aware that any thread topic is going to be questioned and commented on. You stated something to the effect that your daddy taught you all you know. Well then don't come here all ''I'm a tough girl'' and in the same breath ''but don't question my opinions or I'm gonna throw a hissy fit.''
I have children older than you that show more respect for their elders than you do.

And I highly doubt the way you type is ''how they teach it in school.'' It wasn't how I was taught and it wasn't how MY kids were taught. LAst I knew, all states followed the same standards.

Now, if you would like to discuss your 4 tons of scrap that just ''had'' to be removed, I will gladly join the discussion. Oh, BTW, just WHY did it have to be removed? Did someone complain?

This is rather uncalled for. as a long time member and a person of significant age to have grown children as you say with respect I would presume your response would have more wisdom than criticism of this magnitude. She has a right to post as you have a right to read and respond or not respond. I agree with her on her 9:17 pm post, and as it is my free right with respect to you is we are not your children nor raised by you and everyone on this earth is an individual not bound by one's or others standards.

That one is a off loader its just a log trailer with some kind of dumpster onto it with another dumpster attached basically so if you find a log truck you could do this.

You didn't comment with respect. I don't see you being respectful either. I was taught that if no one shows me respect I shouldn't give it. Also, you shouldn't be trying to be mother hen to someone you don't know. You shouldn't go around and say that a complete stranger should respect you. If none is given then none will be given back. What comes around goes around. I didn't say that anyone's opinion was wrong. Where is that stated? I don't see it. SO don't go assuming things like that. Assuming is disrespectful. I AM A FREEKING PERSON I MAKE MISTATES. Don't act like you are all Mrs. Perfect now that is disrespectful also. You also think that the state of Maine follows the regulations on everything considering that most of the smaller schools are made out of old farm houses and stuck in the past about 20+ years ago. Most schools still have 80's school books. Sorry that Maine isn't the best state didn't choose to live in it.

On the scrap metal side it had to be removed is because of snow. The weather is starting to get cold and in Central Maine that is not a good sign along with having snow on Mt. Katahdin already. Not because someone complained. We don't get any complaints about the yard or anything considering its in the middle of no where surrounded by trees so the public cant see it unless on my property. If they had a problem the town wouldn't of issued a junk yard permit for 5 years straight.

Right, all it mattered to us is that it left before the snow flies... In Central Maine the snow can fly at any time in August... So its better then it sitting in the snow and rusting away.. and no one get money...

Speaking of which, how was your past winter? Didn't let up here until mid march. Neighbor actually came over from across the street and snowblowed the driveway. I think i'm getting a truck with a plow if it goes the same way this year as it did last.

BTW, welcome to my end of the boat.

Getting a snow plow truck is a good idea to get. Last year the winter was long and very cold. We had at least one snow storm a week. In some places there were 19+ feet of snow and others had 3-2 minimum. The total of feet was 24 feet all together of snow fall. The snow on Mt. Katahdin early this year so its safe to say that snow is on its way soon.

Sounds about right. Use to live on a hill in Garland and my neighbor was a human weather station(was also Garland's tax assessor). Tought me alot about how if you can get through a Maine weather you can get through any winter. I tell others the same thing about a NY winter lol. I still walk around in sandals, shorts and a t-shirt to get odd looks.

I'm sure I have made a error or two in my first couple of post and make errors more frequently than I care to admit. Anyone that hasn't made their share of mistakes, probably not making enough of a effort to start with. When I was 18, I really didn't think about how I spoke, wrote or communicated. I learned it does matter though, making a good first impression starts having a higher priory, after learning how infrequent opportunities occur. All types of communications starts with mutual respect for everyone, we don't need to agree, we should try to respect each other. Especially true if you think you need to teach someone that may not be as knowing as you or me!

Scrapbabe - Reading this thread, I can't help but think things didn't go as you had hoped they would have. If that is the case, don;t spend much time on the "would of's or the should of's", we learn from our mistake. Spend your time on a better plan, what can work for your situation, no one "walks in your shoes", but you. Make realistic plans and then work those plans to your satisfaction.

Yeah things didn't go as planned for me but those plans never were made by me. People expected things out of me and that's what hurt me the most. Now that I'm on my own I make plans for myself and I make myself happy with my plans. Not everyone is gonna know what happened to me or understand and I know that. Its one thing to not to admit to faults its another to admit to them and I do and I take full responsibility. That's one thing that I won't ever change about myself. That's why I own a business it was something I choose to do and its something that I love to do. Scraping and hard work are things that I know I can always fall back on.

We took over 100lbs of copper out of the pile but wire here is only one grade and thats low grade or .08 cents per pound so some wasnt removed. All the computer parts were removed and shipped out to our buyers. Total with electric motors, copper, wire, ewaste, and other non ferrous removed it came to over 2400lbs over the 9 months we were adding to the pile.
