    26 lb Stainless steel: $0.70 / lb.
280 lb Mixed aluminum (siding, gutters, soffit & extrusions): $0.60 / lb
    600 lb light iron: $12.50 / 100 lb

    Wilmington, DE

I have not been so crazy about them flat rating my aluminum even if I sort it and Dapper's aluminum prices are a lot higher than mine except for breakage. I should know this, but what exactly is breakage?

    Probably Cast (breakable).
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

According to my yard here, breakage aluminum is anything still on it that sticks to a magnet. Say you break up a garage door, taking the plastic fiberglass panels out and call it good and leave rivets and screws in there, then they call that breakage.

I get aluminum breakage price for things like weed wackers that have aluminum blocks and aluminum guards. It is almost half aluminum by weight, so they buy it at a special price worth more then shred, but far less then aluminum.

I couldn't tell you their current price, because anything that has that much aluminum, I usually break down before bringing it in.
