Sounds nasty!!! We used to have "sand" flies along the river beach at Scout Camp that would bite pretty good.

Just keep it in perspective old dude. In the Amazon, there are bugs that fall on you from the overhead trees, crawl up on you while you sleep, drill through your skin on your head to lay their eggs. So when they hatch, you're skin is moving around until they chew a little hole through and take off of another round of fun and games
