    It is simply a personal experience I am saying. I do not cut them open without draining the freon, but I have dealt with many and have had many drained and I was stating they had little to no refrigerant. Sorry if it came across as "cut it and it may or may not be empty" but it wasn't really advice, just something I've noticed from experience. I will edit that and make it sound different though.
