Thanks for making this a fun site y'all. There IS actually a big difference weightwise when wire is rolled and this load had about 25 hand rolled loops of barbed wire. Also about 15 steel T-posts plus the firewood...no biggie. A herd of cows was very curious of our goings-on and chose to stand there and watch (cows are funny animals). Wife and I loaded with a skidsteer of course. She had to cut the contrary wires that irritated the loading. Didn't even wrap any around the axle this time. LOL

The load was an even 2 ton.....(4,000 lbs) and paid $85 a ton; same as auto bodies at the local yard. They classed it ''shreddable wire". Not a big moneymaker when I give half to the owner !! On the brightside, it came from the site of an old homestead and when I get old(er), I hope to get a metal detector and go hunting at all those sites I'm finding.
