Well the tub appears to be steel from the way the rust looks. Hoping it would be sheet iron, oh well. I have a pile of iron consisting of an engine block, a few exhaust manifolds, brake rotors, clutch master cylinder (I'm a backyard mechanic). Also have an old contractor air compressor that I got from my old employer for free, still works after being left outside for half a decade, plus we always had it outside in the weather when working rain or shine. Been thinking of stripping it or fixing it. It has alot of iron, some copper and brass, and a big motor.
