    Giveaway Ideas?

Over the last few months my company has been doing monthly drawings to try and drum up more peddler business. So far we have given away a couple $200 Walmart gift cards, a 52 inch TV and some great Rockies tickets.

For the month of July we will be doing another drawing. What kind of prize would y'all wanna win? Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

    A grill.

    A Cooler.

    Tools.

    A combination of all 3..

I like your company already. Drawings/giveaways always make me happy.

Sirscrapalot - Really, you had to see that coming.

ya I guess I am with the prices idea but more so on a even level of raising prices so that you can get more people in or maybe putting that money into advertising so its spend better than small giveaways cause as a scrapper say going to the yard that are full time do not want cheap crap to drum up business we want better prices all around vs. having old man winter taking in 10lbs of his copper still and that's the only time in his life he ever will and all a sudden boom winning a tv. coupons and other things are hassels when people want money. better prices and amazing service are the 2 things that will spread word and mouth the fastest.

Free magnets , flashlights , key chain do hickeys . All,with your company logo on them . Maybe even travel cups . Give them something they will reuse with your name on it . Covers a lot of bases and if it stays with them , more people will see it .

Gas cards, grocery cards...the stuff we need to live~! As already mentioned, cash bonuses, cant go wrong with these. I'm a simple person, though, tend to go for the basics!
All the ideas offered are intriguing. Pick one each month~

Gloves, bottle opener, magnet something for everyone with your name on it, and then a giftcard drawing for gas, walmart or food store.

Price increase might be ok with some of you, but hey..if a yard wants to give me a free gas, or food card, a grill, cooler, travel cup, tools, etc...I'd be just as happy.

I don't always want a price increase. Let me win something, an save my cold hard cash! Either way I end up ahead...I had more then before I won.

Romantic get away with tickets to Elich Gardens with the children and friends the next day. Or better yet, Elich Gardens tickets on Saturday for kids and friends and the romantic get away Saturday night. One of the friends parents could hold a slumber party to take care of the kids. Just an idea.

There's an idea..if you guys have amusement parks, or something of that nature. Tickets and hotel, or just tickets(up to 4, family. Cheaper more you buy to.) ski resort, etc.

Something different. My issue with an increase in pricing, like Direct suggested is...why even offer it on weights like that? They already get more then the average person I would guess. Unless most of your business is is from businesses. If you target a large consumer base, as in the part timer, full timer, every now an then when I remember I can get money for metal timer, full on businesses, etc. If this is to get new customers to..then little things like a cooler, or the other suggestions bring in even more people.

Just my thoughts, you've done this before. I like that you've given away Rockies tickets, an the other stuff. If I win tickets, or a weekend get away, or a grill..I'm going to use them. If I win cash I feel the need to pay bills, etc instead of going an having some fun.

Oh an hey it's July..Coolers & Grills are always awesome in the summer. Maybe a Green Egg like Parrot I think it was..maybe PTS..You guys confuse me sometimes!

Good luck either way, I expect it to be a success.

    Trailer.
A Nice trailer should create a good buzz, if placed in a good spot with some flashy advertising although it's a little on the high side money wise. Tools and expendables would be my second but the bigger the prize the more people will talk.

I'd love to win a gift card to Wal_Mart or a Home Depot, I could get food or tools with those or even a grill if the card win was high enough!

As some of you know this is the yard I go to because...

    The service is great..
Greeted with a smile and name..
Busy place but efficient and rarely have long wait times..
Equipment available when needed to unload..
Good prices and even better for regulars..

Not sure what else to ask for except that I hope they are around for another 80+ years or at least my life time.
