Yes I do certified data destruction. I physically destroy the platters. I offer this service on site, customer receives a receipt transferring ownership and responsibility of waste to me when it's done. This is optional, should they sell me drives as is (I still destroy them if they test bad) but I require a data destruction certification by serial #. I consulted a lawyer on this and while it is alot of paperwork just for 50-70 cents a drive it covers my butt and theirs and everyone is happy. They will know I'm coming a day or two in advance and I always forward preperation instructions for sensitive items (HDDs, solid state drives, EPROMS and memory cards/sticks NOT RAM).

Right now my B2B price list applies, I am locked in on it for 6 months BUT I get per diem fuel use deducted off the payout. Works fine for me and them, data is covered, e waste is properly disposed AND they get paid for it.

Are you saying that EPROMs have to be destroyed too? Or that they have to be erased? Is this a requirement for processing government IT assets?
