So I was sitting in my room and i finished my homework so started to take apart this small water airator from the hydroponics in the greenhouse at school because it broke and my Ag teacher let me have it. I wanted to see if it still worked so I plugged it into the outlet, nothing happened, so i was fiddling around with it when i touched the two brass of the power cord together while it plugged in. I saw a flash, then heard a pop and the lights went out and i was in the dark and smelled smoke. I grabbed a flashlight and ran downstairs and the lights were still on because that room is on a separate breaker, lucky for me because my parents don't know what happened, and i didn't get hurt. Moral of the story, don't be stupid or play with electricity when you're not a real electritian even if you think you are haha
