Ended up with 2300 in gold rings, earnings, and chains. Their was even a 1 oz silver coin inside.

Felt a little guilty for not taking it back but quickly got over it when i though it would just be in a landfill never to be seen again. Only sold the rings for 750. Wife kept the other stuff cause she likes to look pretty
When I do an estate Cleanout I make sure the family has removed what they want and I get a signature stating we are to remove everything and that all items become our property. I don't feel the least bit guilty when I find jewelry or other valuables after that.
