These pumps are all in one ,that the fuel filter is built in .I have owned cars that were 30 years old with original pump . I feel many autos theses days the pumps wont last that long
My mechanic always told me to keep plenty of gas in my vehicle because the pumps get hot and the gas keeps them cool. If you have the habit of running on empty all the time then the pump will die an early death.
