Way more than i was expecting

A guy called me last week and asked if i was interested in buying some Parts bin Organizers. I went and looked at them and they are 13x13x18 and new never been used. He asked how many i wanted so i told him i'd take 100. They are normally priced around $60-$70 and i was thinking i could sell them for $30 I told him i would pick them up monday the 16th. He called me last friday and said he had more and wanted to know if i wanted more. I said i'll take all that he has. Remembering when i went there i thought i saw like 400. Well, it turns out there was 1550 of them. I have a lot of parts bins to sell. And he gave me 16 pallets full of hardware, probably 8,000# worth of nuts, bolts, screw, all new still in the plastic bags the sell them to lowes to. I,m gonna be sorting nuts and bolt all winter. This company got bought by another company and they need to get everything out by the 27th and they dont need that much intentory. Score for me. All because i stopped by and gave a business card to a lady on a forklift when she was throwing stuff in a dumpster. I wish i knew how to post a picture on here. I'm computer dumb.

If you found any odd balls in the Bolts and Nuts, my yard told me they pay 3-5 cents more per pound for them over regular shread. Just to let you know.

Take them to a flea market if you have one in your area. Sell them for about half of what they go for at Home Depot and you'll sell them before you know it.

You can do very well at the flea market. Hardware, when new and cheap, is a great impulse buy item at the market.

Thanks for the advice everyone, There are 2 big Farmers markets in town. i went back to the company that is closing today and the guy gave me 5 more pallets of nuts, bolts, and screws. Here i come FM. I did some inventory and i counted 1580 of these parts bins. That's a lot of $$$ if i sell them at $25-$30 ea. I've already sold 40 of them just to ppl at work.
