    We did attempt it,,, the problem is... if you drop a bit... or a drill bit or what ever you drop thru the mesh.. guess what Your're gonna be going under that bench quite offten.. as We found out.. so We decided not to do that anymore and just fish the bit out from the top thru the mesh..
