I have some lead ,But I have some really good quality brass from electrical power authority .Now back to lead on the open market as a reference lead hangs around .85 to 1.00 a LB
Ebay 1.25 to 1.75 lb but all said and done my yard pays .40 a pound . finding free I find some lead weights and Bats are not worth dismantling . I see the market as hard to buy for under .40 I have 100 pounds or so of lead ingots given free from a boss i worked for .But correct --- I am thinking brass might be worth the hoard as it seems to offer decent weight for size.
