Ive found that people stereotype me when they have no idea that there really is money in this.

Let them continue thinking that. The less competition we all have, the better.

Let them think what they want. I keep a clean truck and a professional manner. At the very least, scrapping allows me to bring my dog to work with me. I'm too busy trying to keep my truckbed full to really worry about people's perceptions. A scrapper with a thousand bucks and a surgeon with a thousand bucks are just a couple of guys with the same $1000.

    Hmmmmmm!!!

Well what has happened more often than not ,I get that same person who scoffed earlier coming up later talking about possibly doing the same thing.usually because they've seen Scrappers on Tv or they tried one day and got a good payout.I just smile and say call me to help you when you go

I agree! Personally, scrapping metal is a bit more sanitary in my opinion...just sayin!

I am new to scrapping...this is my 3rd day. I don't know if I'm having beginner's luck, but we're doing really really well

You sound like me ScrapperGirl. First day was $150...second day was $350, third day was $420....and so on.

Check out some of my threads, on ideas where to gather scrap metal.

I agree to that, Idaho! There's too many scrappers around my area now, Don't need no newbies invading my turf!
