    Made connection

Made connection with a guy who does occasional cleanouts of properties for a real estate agent. He gets paid to haul everything off and has no interest yet in recycling or reselling, so I got an old thermal fax machine, two vcrs, a stereo system, an electronic grocery store scale (works, now I can weigh my scrap), two monitors, an old IBM computer, an old dot matrix printer and a few misc cables- he even delivered them to me. Will be staying in touch with him in the future.

What you might can do is meet him at a property he has to clean out. A lot of times people leave old aluminum pots and pans, old metal flatware, etc. The more you haul off the less he has to.

They always forget the pots and pans and silverware don't they? I have a standard contract with a Duplex community here that I do rehab work on.. whenever we do a clean-out, I clean-up with tons of aluminum pots and pans.. Like pure gold!
