I have two HP XW8200 workstations running on Linux with another on XP only because my HP Z3200PS 44 inch printer has no drivers for Linux otherwise i would trash the XP computer.
Recently I changed the Video card in the XP machine then ended up having to call Microsoft to get another verification number, another half hour of my life wasted.
If MS would get rid of the, are you sure, or this software may not be safe BS, the OS is just as good as any other be it OSX, BSD, Linux or Unix.
Most people don't really do much with their PC other than visit social networks, or play a few games, in other words noting mission critical, any bank worth its salt uses Unix, heck even the Internet runs on either Unix or Linux, MS windows just cant cut the mustard when it comes to multitasking.
