i cant believe they payed 1.92 for a dirty radiator, no 2 copper is 2.60 here i think the yard took a big loss on that

I dont care if you believe it or not. All I wanted to do was post my haul and prices they payed. Alter Metal Recycling in Council Bluffs Iowa is the yard I go to and the only one close. Maybe you should use them instead of getting screwed where you go.

LOL...I'm offering free hugs and smiles to anyone who gets upset over folks asking or expressing shock in a yard paying out more then is normal for an item.

An congrats on the nice pay day!

its possible they gave a good rate on thewhole load for the amount he brought in. here clean brass radiators are 1.60 but i get 2.10, copper 2.50 but i get 3.00, its all in your relationship with your yard, prices vary across the country but he had fairly large quantities of everything, even the brass radiator only being one it was a large one, go about it the right way you can get a raise yourself, i posted this a while back #5 is pretty good

we regularly buy the yard sodas, once last summer we took them popsicles, it lets them know your name and if you happen to miss some bolts they will let it slide dirty to clean
and yes congradulations on your load very nice

i forgot to mention the girls at the pay window got candybars on valentines day
