I got to get it out of my truck tomorrow since i have a crown moulding job in rocklin monday ,And Sac scrappers is one of the only yards open on sundays so ill most likely take it there and ask, was just curious if the average yard pays separate for cast iron then steel since ive never taken in any cast before , besides small stuff i just throw in the metal bin.....how is you and your business doing lately??

Some local scrapper guy was telling me that they pay 0.11/lb for "heavy iron" whatever that is. Things are going well, I've taken a break from actively selling this week to reorganize my warehouse...got some pallet racking for free. It makes a big difference space-wise. At least, it looks like it will once I get everything onto the racks lol. Too bad though, the weather has been awesome, and it would have been nice to get out. I've been buying some e-waste lately, but haven't been hitting it terribly hard. I still make weekly trips to the scrap yard though...I end up with a lot of junk in auction lots that I buy.

BTW, I know TKO is open on sundays too if you have non-ferrous to sell. They have much better prices.

Good to hear your doing well! And nice score on the pallet racking for free! My motto has always been "If its free, It's for me!" !! I have never been to a auction kinda sounds fun, i guess when you find the good stuff it would make it worth wild of all the junk...I dont know what you buy as far as auction lots , but you would be surprised what you can sell on ebay if you dont already sell on there, I sell on ebay as a partime income and some of the stuff i have sold on there i was suprised how much some of it sold for, any thing from x-mas ornaments, fishing lures, coustume jewelry, stamps, sports cards, car parts etc etc... If i think i can make money off it and it fits in a flat-rate shipping box it goes on ebay, and the bigger stuff on craigslist.....but I understand some people dont have the time to deal with ebay and shipping, or dealing with random people on craigslist..

Took in the load with the tub, sold the tub separate for "heavy" .10 1/.2 cents a pound, weighed 305 pounds for $32, then picked up the rest of the suburban frame and sheet metal that my friend finished cutting up, so I got two runs in for $111.11 and then got another call to pick up a load on tue!
