My Scrapping Adventures In My 1966 Chevy!

still raining here so havent messed with getting the tow hitch installed yet, but did take in a load of scrap metal and recyclables that i managed to scrounge up here and there, doesnt look like much but still pulled in $138 dollars and barely topping the truck bed rails!

Hello fellow scrappers hope you all had a great christmas!! I been on the go since the day before xmas, but it hasn't been scrappin......the ol'lady and I decided to buy each other a 5th wheel for our gift to each other and move on to the inlaws property (rent and bill free) for about a year and save up some money to help us get on our feet! so ive been moving,hauling stuff to the dump and remodling the inside a bit before we get settled in:

Might be awhile before i post again but i am checking in and reading up every once in awhile but dont worry ill be back! until then happy scrapping !

That yard is really close to my warehouse! I haven't been there yet though, I called them and their prices were pretty low...at least what they quoted me over the phone.

Ya i usually go to a few other local yards for my larger scrap loads, I only go there when i have a small load and tv's! I had about 6 tv's not pictured with that load, all the other yards will only let you take in a couple a year per id....sac scrappers you can take a unlimited number of tv's and computer monitors in whenever.....I usually go to the yard on Qst and elkhorn, or TKO depending on what area im in.

Really? How much do they pay for TVs? I usually take mine to the electronics recycling place on Richards and they pay 0.06/lb, but I have to have names/address/phone from the people I got them from. I like going to TKO, that's where I usually go. However, I went in to simms the other day, and their prices are much better than anywhere else I've been to. I think a lot of the yards sell to them.

they only pay .3 cents a lb. but ive already used all the other yards and my limit for tv's so unless i have the time to strip the tv's of the copper and dispose of the waste, i really dont have anywhere esle to take them, so i pile them up and turn them in to sac scrappers because theres no limit and some times its easier then stripping them...
