    Just an observation, but that "flat piece of glass over the screen" was likely what made a Black & White picture into color. Is/was the glass red or blue?

    People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

    it was dark in the basement and cldnt see the glass that well. i did look up the model tv it was and there going for anywhere from $150 to $400 depending condition. i still have to plug it in and see if it works. was pressed for time so just put it in garage till later when i go out there for busy work

    If you plug it in to check out, don't try to break it down without discharging cause if it's that old it may hold a heavy charge for a long time. Ask Hoss, he'll show you how to discharge it,,,,,rofl
