    I would pull it off. Use a heat gun, heat from the back side while prying gently. Make sure to do it outside or an area with good ventilation.

    For the hard drives, I pull the boards, and sell the rest to a local yard for around 0.35-0.40 per lb. Not worth my time to break down fully.
