One thing I haven't seen mentioned here is the menus on the left side of the screen, near the bottom, is a "show only" frame. In there is two buttons (among others), one is "sold items" and the other is "completed listings". Do a search for what you have and look at the completed listings. That will let you know if what you have sells and a ballpark price. If you just look at sold listings, you will just see the 25 things that sold and not the 8 billion that didn't. You will also be able to see the listings that sold for the most and why and perhaps plagerize their listings for a better sale price.
