    I'd like to know to, I had some I believe that were Green fiber with the alum cap on top. Bloody thing wouldn't come off with a screwdriver, wood chisel..feh. I finally just got fed up with the lot of them, an said to he ll with it. Lose a couple bucks but better then wasting time an patience on the things. I lack a access to a heat gun, etc. Now those KMD ones..the cap popped right on off with minimum fuss.

    This might be a little out there but maybe you could heat up a junk knife and go between the cpu and the heatsink
