It takes less than 5 min to get the motor out and you can still throw the carcass in shred after the motor is out, $2 for 5 minutes of work is not a hard choice to make, at that rate you would be making $60 an hour, i guess your time is more valuable though

sledgehammer all the way, a couple good swings and the motor is out, then cut/disconnect wiring and its free
