Price for 35 Mac IBook Laptops

There is something minor wrong with all of them, but all the parts are there. There are no pics, but close by enough to go look at. There are 35 of the Mac iBook laptops. They are asking $300 for all of them. I checked ebay for what some are selling for, and there is some money to be made. My question is even though I am not the most computer savvy, should I take a shot at them?

Are the ones selling on ebay for non working, parts only? Check the completed listings not just what people are listing them for. I would go check them out like you said, make sure screens are intact. I think those had a g4 processor chip which is kinda on the out dated side i think. At that price i would buy only knowing i could resell them as is or resell the parts for better than scrap value. Tread carefully the last thing you want to do is lay out that money and then have to sit on them waiting for a buyer...just my 2 cents.

Just did a search on ebay for G3. If you can take a laptop apart you will do great. If they are complete you should be able to part them out for about 100 each. Screen 15-20 keyboard 10-15 charger 20-25 cd drive 10 used battery 20-25 Stopped looking after that. I sure there is a market for the hard drives and boards fans and everything else. It may take you a couple of months to get back your money but to me it would be worth it.

The problem with that is if your getting 35 of them your gonna be sitting on the parts an awful long time before they are all sold. So you should try to sell complete laptops along with parts.

You will be putting quite a bit of time in testing parts to make sure they work to make any money on ebay if you plan on parting them out. Few people will pay much over shipping for untested obsolete parts. G3/G4 laptops are getting pretty old now (and G4 laptops are a pain to work with).
