Got the "Lamp" In last night.
Did a bit of cleaning on it and bought a 7.5w bulb to give her that glow.

Mike, there's nothing dorky or nerdy about that lamp. It is an awesome lamp! Good find Sledge.

Now if I owned a lamp like that I would plug it in somewhere in the living room and see how long it would take my wife to throw a fit.

    Thanks gents!
I have never seen anything like it either.. and doubt I ever will again.

Had to HAD to own it!

And if my wife, kids, AND forum buddies love it as much as I do.. well it is a winner all the way around!

This is awesome, love it. But, any chance heating up all those old boards is going to kick off some nasty/toxic fumes?

He's got a 7.5 Watt bulb so it should be alright.

I originally put a 60 watt bulb in it-- just to test- way too bright and the chips got HOT

    I tried a 15w and a 7.5w
It came down to preference. Either would have given that "glow" but no "hot fumes"

Have you considered LED lights? You could add color to the picture. Mike
