    Big old Ford Cutting up

Cutting up this ford and catalina. Im mostly cutting the ramps off the truck for prepared and rest will be towed in. Noone I knows has a big enough rig to handle it. Question I have is does anyone know if the rear and leafs are worth more than scrap? The rear in the truck looks like a dana 60 or bigger. It is a 2 speed rear and has a heavy leaf pack. Any idea?

Also the Catalina there is going. Anyone know if the 400 in it is worth anything to anyone? I have had it listed for 2 weeks and no bites.

The 400 is probably worth 100-200 as a core unless you can make it run. How's the interior and dash? Bumpers can sometimes be resold for up to $30/ea as cores to buyers like the Bumber Boyz if they stop at a show in your area.

Don't think there's a market for the rear axle in the truck. Fewer and fewer people seem to be messing with the big iron.

Is that a 50's car behind the truck?

Im 550 miles from Ky catfish. Why you want the motor? Yes it has been coded as a 400. Thought it was a big block, but maybe it is a small block. I can try and get it running. For the right price I can probaly deliver lol.

Thanks for the insight Pirate. Yes thats a hornet. Its shot as far as I can tell. Shame the owner let them sit outside to rot away. There is at least 8 of them on the property and a couple inside the barn. Plus a full parts warehouse..lol.

I do think ya right Pirate. I also have a 350 out of a 69 firebird I just cut up. Turns over real nice, real good compression. Noone wants it either...

Sadly Honda Motors are the new 350's...

ok first off for pontiac there is no "big block" or "small block" per se all their v-8's were built on the same block architecture and i sold a running pontiac 350 last year on ebay for $300 and the guy drove from OH to pick it up so i would say a 400 is worth something if you got the time to fool with it. with the old ford i would say scrap is your best bet, unfortunately as stated above unless the cab is in exceptional shape nobody really likes fooling with the old Heavy duty trucks like that. and please look up prices if your going to scrap the Hudson Hornet, those cars are hard to find parts for and even simple things like emblems can get you a few dollars

ilovejunk nice bit of information there on the blocks.

Ozzy that is too far for me, and no way I could afford to ship a motor.

Ozzy be careful with the Hornet parts, there could be some good stuff there. Stainless body trim, overdrive transmissions, etc. They had a dual carb option as well.
Great cars in their time - I've wanted a good one for years but most are pretty rough.

I was at a farm here in Ohio a couple years ago and the guy hoarded Hornets as well - there must have been 10 of them rotting away!
