    Aluminum Hood Question

I am new to the forum so bear with me !
I am an occasional scrapper .

I have five aluminum hoods to scrap !
The magnet catches on the four steel inserts that the hinge bolts to, and also on the hood latch bracket that is welded to a steel plate in between the layers of aluminum.

Seems real tough to get out the steel threaded inserts , do you guys drill them out so the aluminum is totally prepared ??

What about the latch bracket that is welded in between the layers of aluminum ?

Thank You in advance for the reply !

I do pickups from a local auto body shop. Sell as sheet aluminum. I never had to remove any of the hinge bolts or closing latch.

That is going to depend on your yard. If they are not too far away, maybe just drive one over and ask? That way they can see what you are talking about.
Copper, brass, and Leather. 3 of my favorite things.

In this area that would be clean enough

    Do you scrap cars?
I am located south of Boston >> Basically Intersection of Route 495 and 24 and I only do the surrounding towns
I get at least 2 or 3 calls a week from people that want to scrap cars in your area
If you do scrap cars and want to give me your information I will direct these people to call you
