I used to drive one like that with a fifth wheel trailer delivering steel I beams. I see this one has a five speed with no DP on the rear end. (deep reduction is a little red button on the stick) The one I drove was a real pig on fuel and I had to drop two or three gears to climb a hill with it. It always had electrical issues and when I graduated to driving the Mack the replacement driver on the ford took out two rear ends before we scrapped it. In my opinion: strip off anything that you can use and scrap the rest.
As a little side note: I have taken my own poll of the drivers that come into our yard about twin stick shifting. None have any idea of what im talking about...........makes me feel real old

From what I can tell the engine is in the FE/FT engine class, making it a big block engine, regardless of displacement, as long as it will turn over, the engine should be worth selling for better than scrap.
For the general body style that the truck is, 67-72, I cant locate any with a D engine code.
It could be any of the following engines- 332/352/360/361/390/391/406/410/427/428.
    All desired by hot rodders.

Aw man. That hurts me a little to see these old vehicles scrapped. I have a 61 Galaxie sitting in my driveway with no glass, trim, all wheels locked up, and massive amounts of frame and body rot. Still cant bring myself to rid of it. I would have bought that truck off you in a second. Its beautiful

Sleep easy, Lurch....it probably won't be scrapped as a nice man is coming to look at it soon. I'm developing a complex with all the comments about that "nice truck"....how could I ever send it to the scrapyard now? ....LOL

Now i can sleep easy tonight! Not being able to send older cars to the junkyard is a disease for me. I know im going to end up with a field full of cars that no one can do a darn thing with

Hate to do this to you Lurch, but these DID go to the scrapyard. I wasn't real thrilled about it either, but they were in bad shape. I believe the old one was a 36 Chevy...this is the good side.

A Bonnie and Clyde with suicide doors. Do you save any of the chrome, window frames, door handles, or hood ornaments?

Looks like I better contact you if I find any more of those. I didn't save chrome etc. from these, but I do save that kind of treasure occasionally.
