    Scrapping an Ambulance?????

Found a decommissioned ambulance, 2000 E350 with a 7.3L Diesel with 352 KMS. They are asking 2600 obo. Still has all lights and everything still in the back, would it be worth the cash to buy it to scrap it? No idea what the thing weighs. Aluminum body. Iv got no use for it, already got a diesel pickup so I dont need a scrappin vehicle. Would strictly be to scrap it.

Would any of you guys go for it? im getting 190 a ton for vehicles by the way.

it would have to weigh 10 tons to get 1900 dollars at 190 a ton.unless i had several parts resold for the purchase price or darn close to the purchase price id stay away. just my thoughts

I wouldn't offer anything over 2000. I was thinking for the aluminum box and resale of parts.
    Thanks for the input!

My .02: Scrap wise- nope.. you'd lose your hind quarters on it.
If you were handy and could take the Aluminum bed off, and convert it to a flat steel deck or someone wanted to put an Omaha Work Box on it.. That would be an option. But that is a salty lick to put out in hopes to sell the truck minus the ambulance body.
I'm so into scrapping.. When my Steel Toe Boots Wear out, I cut the Steel out of them and recycle the Toe!

If it has 352 KM on the odometer then it has another couple thousand hours of just idling time.
Around here the ambulance idles most of the time it's on duty. Plus when it's loading/unloading/lunch breaks/etc.

E350 is a 1 ton plus, heavy duty chassis. I had an E300(one ton) for a long time but didn't really realize what i had, while i had it

value wise it depends on how stripped it is. there is a good amount of money in it from ebay. the lights, siren, horn, cb and more have a good resale value.plus the value of any equipment in the back
