Looking for CRT Computer monitors? Hardly see them anymore

I'm looking for CRT monitors? I have the ability to take CRTs, specifically ANY CRT computer monitor, OR any CRT TV whose glass screen is 15" across or less, can go as big as 19" in some cases but really no higher. Most counties, certainly my own and surrounding, do not collect CRTs with trash pickup. I do not know how they are disposed of and I'm not sure how many households or businesses still have them sitting around in their storage just taking up space, etc.

I'm located near Milwaukee WI and would like to offer solutions for homes or businesses or even scrappers wanting to get rid of CRT monitors, provided they fit the above dimensions. Just don't know where to look or how to get word out, I currently have a craigslist ad saying I will take them, with only one bite in 6 months, and facebook marketplace removed the ad I put because apparently it is against their terms of service to advertise. Would the next step be to contact local businesses?

Also if you're a scrapper located around Waukesha/Milwaukee WI and get CRTs that you'd rather not go through with scrapping because of having to dump the glass I'd take them off you hands if they meet the above criteria, shoot me a message and we can get things rolling.

    Thanks all

What will they be used for or will they be recycled? I'm not nearby but would need downstream details to send or drop off in any quantity.

I actually trade or sell them locally or online in niche retro restoration / diy arcade groups. If I get broken ones I just scrap them. I can't handle the tubes from bigger TVs than 15-17 inches, as these have no demand the "retro" crowd unless they were the top of the line consumer / commercial quality CRTs. I have never come across any, they seemed to be pretty scoured up so I just don't bother with them.

I'm new to the forum and I don't know if there is a PM feature, but I would give you details and I'd be glad to arrange a way for you to send, drop off, or point me in the direction of potential clients.

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

There is a PM function, but I think you need to make 10 posts to get access to it if I remember correctly.

For vintage stuff like the CRT's you want, I'd put up a Facebook ad honestly. A lot of people don't have them anymore, but a few who do, and you might be set for a little while

The good working CRT tv's and monitors are getting harder to find, but there are still plenty of them around. I have a nice selection of TV's with remotes and many older monitors that work. But I'm not getting rid of any at this time as I'm busy with other things.

Smaller thrift shops sometimes have them if they are like new with remotes and such. Still see a few of the VHS/DVD combos in the thrifts now and then. Never know what you will find if you look in the right place at the right time and ask around as most times when people decide to get rid of stuff they want it gone yesterday.

I personally don't like the flat screens as they bother my eyes. I use 27 inch SONY Trinitrons for my movie viewing. My lap top does have a flat screen and I don't like the view, but it's what it is as it's small. I might try and figure a way to put my computer video and sound onto a Trinitron. That would be nice.
