I'm not understanding why you fellow scrappers don't see the earning potential. All of that copper, 700-1400 boards and 700 casings is enough to scrap the pvc. All is left is glass. When those tubes were made they didn't take the enviroment in consideration...or maybe they did. But the local landfill would accept it. Everything eventually returned to the earth from which it came. Hardwork pays off. All you need is a screw gun, hammer and wire cutters. Cha ching. Crts still sell on craigslist for $15. College students, room renters, security systems for closed circuit and even hotels still buy crts. Your husband had a vision. And I understand your situation. Why don't these other guys? You're handing a small fortune over to these guys on a platter. Some of these guys are the same ones who would jump out of their pickup and clip the cord and pull off. How cost effective is that? I haven't made it to your part of the country yet, but plan to visit a friend in Des Moines. I'm prior service so I have friends all over the country. So I never truly vacation. My super duty goes where ever I go. And where ever I go I visit at least 1 scrap yard. Ill be reaching out this summer miss lady, keep accepting them crts, but charge a buck or two for collecting them. A smart scrapper will always come along and take them off your hand. This summer it WILL be me. Stay positive, you all are in our prayers.

...if those 700 are still available, I may catch me a load off uship and make that special trip. I'm currently processing 240 tubes per week just in the delmarva, it pays for my trucks' expenses and at 60lbs a piece I'm staying in shape and relevant....
