Interesting site. Too bad it requires the purchase of 100 of them. Makes me think though that I could look for these on Craig's list. There has to be someone in the area that just throws these away.

i buy mine from the local cardboard recycler and from a couple yards i deal with. $5 ea, i get them at their cost.

I wish some of you E-waste guys were in British Columbia, Canada... At my work, I have about 150-160 BRAND NEW gaylord boxes that are folded down. Think about 20 to a pallet... We don't use them much and when I do use them, we have other product coming in inside gaylords and I reuse them... boss asked my to try to sell the new ones

I'm going to get mine from a company down the road that makes them outta plastic and sells them for $85. They will last forever and be used over and over.

That's exactly the kind the company down the road makes. They took out the plastic tub, cut one hole on each side in the middle and thats what i use for feeding my cows hay.... they did that for free!

Yea we sell the totes here in dallas for 75 each so do some shopping around you can get them for free to low cost.
We sell around 10 to 11 of them a week.
I would think any smaller box board company would stock some new. Check local yellow pages for corrugated containers. Mike.

Correct. Usually they are called totes. Or IBC totes/tanks. (Intermediate Bulk Container).
They come in several sizes. Most common seem to be in the 275 to 330 gallon area.
If you are looking for one try Craigslist with search words like water tank, potable water/storage, ibc tank, ibc tote, tote, totes, etc. (Might even find one that had fertilizer but unless it's well washed I imagine you'll be getting headaches from it). I see them every once in awhile but I am not interested in paying $80 to $100+ for a scrap bin.
I did get a few 55 gallon barrels that had vanilla extract. That makes the shop smell nice.
I prefer these over gaylords since I can leave them out in the weather and not have an issue. In addition to being pretty tough. Ideally I'd like scrap/seed bins but I suck at welding, so making my own isn't likely to happen and none of the seed/scrap yards will sell me one (or 10).
