So it looks like ferrous metals, like the tin cans, will be attracted to the magnet, but nonferrous will be repelled. I love how physics work.![]()

Gus, great video really demonstrats the concept. Some of the motors I get have a large magnet on the rotor, about 3 1/2" in diameter. Might be a short cut to making something to play with. Mike



Thanks for the picture Gus. It really is worth a thousand words. Its does seem that a granulator and one of these eddy current seperators would do a great job on wire. Mike.
